Italian-influenced coffee giant Caffè Nero was founded back in 1997 in London and has since grown exponentially. Today, they have over 1,000 coffee houses in eleven countries worldwide; UK, Ireland, Sweden, Poland, Cyprus, Croatia, Turkey, the UAE, Oman and the United States.
With an extensive coffee shop network across multiple countries, Caffè Nero wanted to operate the strongest customer proposition for their gift card.
Savvy has provided Caffè Nero with a single international gift card programme that operates seamlessly across multiple countries, currencies and time zones. Customers have the freedom to use their gift cards globally with a seamless customer experience, in every Caffè Nero coffee house. Using Savvy API connections, gift cards are distributed via stores, gift card malls and B2B channels, increasing the reach and ultimately sales, of Caffè Nero’s gift card programme.
The international gift card programme is also fully integrated into their business-wide Oracle Simphony EPOS, an all-in-one cloud POS platform that helps food and beverage venues around the world optimise their online and in-house operations in real-time from any device. The gift card solution goes live in the Caffè Nero app this year, further strengthening the customer experience.
The whole solution was underpinned by Savvy Analytics, offering complete programme control and management via Savvy’s easy-to-use platform, allowing Caffè Nero to report on gift card sales and performance across regions.
